no reason at all, laugh — as loudly and as ridiculously as you can,
using
all of your lungs and your body.
2. Wake up before
dawn and watch the
sun slowly illuminate the sky.
3. Identify someone
who needs help
and give that help — without sticking around to receive thanks.
4. Read the
biography of someone you
admire.
5. Enroll in a class
to learn a new
art or craft.
6. Get good quality
stationery and
set about writing your memories of the happiest times of your life.
Make
this your special book of your existence.
7. Turn off the
television, shut down
the computer and go sit and talk with friends or family members for at
least half an hour about what is happening in your lives.
8. Volunteer to do
something to help
with a cause you support; it could be sweeping the church floor or
answering
the telephone at a teen counselling center or greeting guests at an
Aids
benefit dinner.
9. Start an outdoor
garden or get
two or three potted plants for your place.
10. Say silently, on
the hour, every
hour: "Almighty Creator, I give my life to you. Lead me to peace,
purpose
and joy."
11. Recall the songs
that you loved,
especially those from childhood, and sing them with the same enthusiasm
you had when you first got to know them.
12. In spring or
summer, take a sun-bath.
13. In autumn, take
a walk and listen
to the leaves crackling under your feet.
14. In winter, make
a snowman, snowangels
or a snowcastle.
15. Buy yourself or
prepare yourself
your favourite comfort food.
16. Write down the
ten things that
are most important to you. Ask yourself if you treat them as important
in the time and effort you dedicate to them. Ensure that you create
harmony
between what you think is important in life and how you spend your life.
17. Let a friend or
family member
massage your scalp. Choose someone with whom this activity would be
appropriate.
18. Try some of
those exotic fruits
you always pass by in the supermarket.
19. Take a computer
course.
20. Join a library.
21. Without waiting
for a reason to,
spread your lips apart and smile.
22. Make your own
postcards to send
to friends and family.
23. Fill your place
with the fragrance
of incense, scented oil, scented candles, or fresh flowers and herbs.
24. Join a choir.
25. Write down
twenty good things
about your life today.
